Holy Trinity CofE Primary School

Music, Choir and Singing

At Holy Trinity, all our weekly music lessons and whole school singing assemblies are taught by fantastic, specialist music teacher, Miss Jackson. In addition to children's weekly music lessons happening in each class, we ensure that our children have opportunities to take part in a wide range of music-related learning, musical events and experiences.

Singing

All children take part in our Christmas performance at Holy Trinity Church in December, along with performances from children who are learning instruments such as piano, guitar and violin. A similar event happens at the end of the school year when we hold our summer performance.

So far this year:

The whole of KS2 went to St Christopher's Hospice to sing carols for the patients.

Our Year 1 class has been to The Royal Festival Hall to sing in the Bright Sparks concert.

Our Year 3 class will be performing at Songfest this year and have already showcased their songs at both Holy Trinity Church, and for the patients at St Christopher's Hospice.

Our Year 4 class took part in Prom Praise at the Royal Albert Hall, singing wonderful songs of worship.

Our Year 5 class attended Young Voices at the O2 Arena - an experience they will never forget.

Our Year 6 class have been working with a choir specialist and recently performed beautifully at our special 150th Anniversary service at Southwark Cathedral.

Indeed, all of our children had the opportunity to sing at Southwark Cathedral this year as part of our 150th anniversary celebrations - a truly magical experience.

Choir

Children in KS2 are invited to audition for one of our two choirs: the Year 3 & 4 Choir, as well as the Year 5&6 choir.

Guitar club

Our weekly guitar club involves small group tuition and preparation for events.

Piano Club

Children have the opportunity to join a morning or afternoon piano club for small group tuition.

Holy Trinity's Got Talent!

We had some lovely musical performances as part of our annual talent show before Christmas.
